Television studio

The Tank is the latest addition to Coventry University, with state-of-the-art specialist TV Studio equipment, including large cameras, mixing facilities and fibre optic wiring throughout. Triple glazing provides professional grade soundproofing, with the option of privacy and darkness provided by unique light blocking curtains set up around the room.

What can students do here?

Students can perform multi media production such as live TV broadcast, music production and performing arts.

What is the most frequent request you get?

The most frequent request I receive from students is asking for Chroma key training.

How does the School of Media and Performing Arts use the studios?

The Tank houses sessions, both technical and academic.

What equipment/software is available for students to use?

There is a range of equipment available for students to use, including:

  • Mixers
  • Graphics systems and sound production
