Our Research Opportunities
Coventry University's research strategy is underpinned by a £250m investment in research, our estate and facilities. It also:

Developing an innovative manufacturing approach that responds to the requirements for small electric vehicles
The aim is to produce an innovative design/manufacturing approach that will provide for SEV a flexible and resilient approach to manufacturing that incorporates the new demands that are placed upon the system in terms of technology innovation and external factors identified during the research activity (e.g. regulatory activity). The research will be supported by the activities of international working groups on SEV and e-mobility.
Development of a novel approach for assessing crash safety of lightweight vehicles

Almost two-thirds (61%) of our research was judged ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014.
