Full-time study

Full-time

CU London offers a range of degree programmes in a variety of vocational subject areas.

A full-time degree programme takes three years to complete; each academic year is broken down into separate qualifications, meaning if your situation changes at any point after your first year of study and you cannot complete the course, you’ll still leave with a qualification. Year one of the programme is a HNC, year two a HND and the third year is a full degree.

There are three full-time study styles for CU London:

  • Full week morning or afternoon (Monday-Friday 9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm).
  • Early week study (Monday and Tuesday 9am-6pm, Wednesday 9am-11am).
  • Saturday and evening study (Saturday 9am-6pm, Wednesday and Thursday evening 6pm-10pm).

Each course follows a specific timetable structure, enquire to find out which study style your preferred choice follows. Please note: not all courses are available on all study styles.

Groups are kept at under 50 students per class. This way, students can take advantage of small numbers to increase contact time with lecturers. Lecturers and Course Leaders also offer an open-door policy, so students can gain extra support whenever it is needed.

Studying on a full-time basis requires you to study 4 blocks per year. Students will only study one module per block over the course of 6 weeks. Unlike traditional institutions, there are no multi-hour final exams. Instead, learning is assessed through coursework and phase tests.

Multiple intakes

At CU London we offer multiple intakes throughout the academic year making higher education more accessible and therefore a more viable option. Courses can be started at the beginning of any block. We typically offer intakes during:

  • September
  • November
  • January
  • February
  • April
  • June

We will officially open our doors and start teaching from September 2017.
