    Students and staff to benefit as Coventry University joins Santander Universities network

    Coventry University students and staff will benefit from a new three-year partnership with Santander which will provide financial support for international and entrepreneurial opportunities.

    The project, which involves Coventry University and its community interest company CU Social Enterprise, aims to improve migrants’ and refugees’ sense of belonging.

    The building will feature a range of state-of-the-art facilities including a gaming and virtual reality studio, a specialist area for 3D printing and rapid prototyping, a laser facility, and physics and electronics laboratories.

    Researchers and quantum technology experts are to investigate how security systems based on the randomness of light can help protect connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) from cyber-attacks.

    Members of Coventry University’s senior leadership team will visit a range of institutions across India this month to establish new research partnerships and extend opportunities for students.

    It will analyse scenarios in which small drones could be used in the region – including at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and during Coventry’s year as UK City of Culture in 2021.
